We began this adventure in September 1977 in a small place on Cristóbal Sanz st at Elche (Spain). Since then, and until 2021, Paco Trigueros Díaz has achieved that his vocation of service, to the reader in particular, and to the user of all kinds of books in general, had turned that small store away from the center into the reference bookstore in Elche and even in one of the most important in the province of Alicante and in the Valencian Community. And always with the most sincere vocation of bookseller and without losing the illusion of bringing you the titles that you should not stop reading (a statement as subjective as your tastes and needs).
A year later, in 1978, we moved to the center of the city, where you already know, and we expanded our facilities in 1991, adding to the initial store the 300 m2 that you know today.
In 2021, after 44 years of history, Paco handed over the baton to David Reche Espada to give continuity to Ali i Truc Bookstore project. David and his brother and partner Andrés, conspired to give the store a new look but with the respect due to an institution like this. For this purpose they had the advice of Paco and the support of the same team that has been working with your books behind the counter and behind the scenes of Ali i Truc last 10 and 30 years.
They say that the centuries actually begin in the twenties, and the new managers of Ali i Truc Bookstore, arrived with the intention of bringing the store into the 21st century without losing none of everything they have done that you trust us: El llibre com a vehicle de cultura.
